Pride & Portraits: With Gareth Reid
Pride & Portaits is a story commemorating the achievements of four athletes who represent the city of Glasgow in one of the world’s biggest sporting occasions - the tour of The British & Irish Lions. Glasgow-based portrait artist Gareth Reid, winner of Sky Arts Portrait Artist Of The Decade 2023, took on the immense challenge of creating portraits of all four athletes following their selection in the historic and iconic 2025 Lions Tour selection, with a time-limit of only a few short weeks.
The film was supported by The British and Irish Lions, Sky Sports, and the United Rugby Championship. It was produced and shared, in both full and various short formats, across social media, web and released as a teaser on Sky Sports.
